Exploring "A New Modern"
Founded by Shesi Azeez in 2020, All Things Were Made is a full-service design and research studio based in Stamford, CT. Its focus is on architecturally rich interiors and material research.
Rooted in “a new modern” ethos, we embody the needs of our clients & their local environments. (ATWM) partners research & communication into each step of our design process, emphasizing healthy materials and systems in each scope of work.
“A New Modern” can be described as combining playful touches with thoughtfully considered geometries. This ethos considers modularity & allows for eclectic choices with a minimalist execution, integrating functions of day to day living and thinking.

FOUNDER
Shesi Azeez realized her desire to create the built environment in just the 8th grade. It was from then on that her father quotes, “she could not be swayed in any other direction.” After graduating high school, she went on to study Architecture at The New Jersey Institute of Technology. It was there she learned the practical along with the whimsical side of Architecture. Combining her knowledge of how spaces form structurally allows her to make way for the artistic. After working alongside many talented designers, she found that her passion lay in the interiors of spaces.
“For the most part, architecture can be such a rigid practice. The personality so subtly expressed on the exterior can become so boldly expressed on the interior.”
When the opportunity arose for her to branch out on her own, she took a leap of faith, starting her studio, All Things Were Made. “Design is such a constantly evolving practice, and I’m excited to see where the journey takes me.” Her studio focuses on hospitality design, single and multifamily residential, as well as procurement. After relocating, she is now able to service NYC and the surrounding tri-state area.
